Make your own gluten-free pancakes on your own table side griddle! Was it the best breakfast I’ve ever had? Nope. But the kids got a massive kick out of cooking their own flapjacks in all sorts of crazy shapes, and with tons of custom toppings. You can balance out the pancakes with some egg scrambles and bacon while the kids knock themselves out cooking up their flapjacks.

Their website shows them as operating out of a wine shop in Kapalua. I also tried going there, showing up 20 minutes prior to their posted lunchtime closure, and they had already closed for deliveries. I was disappointed. You can find some of their baked goods in café locations in the island such as Sip Me in Makawao and Paia. Please check their website for current information. I will update this post as soon as possible.

We visited the shop March 2017 and enjoyed their bread and variety of pastries.

It’s made my first overseas trip since being diagnosed coeliac so much better and less stressful than it could have been!

I was a big fan of CJs Deli and Diner, they were great and the best ribs I’ve had since going GF 3 years ago. I was also excited to see Pizza Paradiso in Lahaina (near our hotel) had GF pizza bases. However when I called to ask about which of their toppings were GF they obviously didn’t know anything about GF and coeliac and I wanted to warn others. They told me all their meats and fries were GF (which surprised me because i’ve found it hard to find things like GF sausage/salami and fries here), but when I questioned them further they didn’t even realise that meat could contain gluten, or that fries could be packaged in flour etc. A few years ago I would have taken them at face value and ended up really sick, so I thought it was important to spread the word. Nothing worse then being told it’s GF only to find out the person didn’t know what they were talking about!

They did a fantastic job on working with me and making sure what they did and how they were preparing my meal to make sure it was all good on how they were preparing it for me. My waiter went over and beyond what was expected and the manager came over as well to let me know that my waiter was working with the chef to make sure my meal stayed gluten free. I would go there again in a heart beat!

There are multiple chain restaurants on Oahu which offer gluten free eats, including PF Changs, Outback Steakhouse, and more.

Here are some articles I found related to gluten free on Oahu, though some are a few years old:

My son has type 1 diabetes and celiac disease and we are heading to Waikiki in June for a band field trip. From an earlier post, you said you didn’t have knowledge of O’ahu; would you have anyone that I can reach out to that could help guide us to gluten free dining options or other best ways to ensure my son has access to food that he will eat? He eats a limited diet due, in part, to his own food choices. The aspect of food is the most stressful part of our trip! Thank you.
