I too came from a home where boxed meals and canned soups were the only dinner we had time for. When I got married I decided I wanted to cook good food! There were a couple (hundred) bad meal attempts but I learned and know fast food and boxed “stuff” does not appeal to my family or I.

I love the post. Makes me think about breaking bread with my own family, the laughter and stories shared around the table. We had a family dinner rule, where no matter what, we were eating together. Ok, there were a few exceptions, but those mealtimes kept us connected.
I look forward to the GF lasagna, I’ll bring the salad.

I agree with you. Unfortunately I am no good in the kitchen but when we cook together is so much fun. We get to enjoy more time :)
