
Today was my first day as an official culinary school student. Yay! Tomorrow we start making soups. Unfortunately a lot of them will contain wheat flour in the roux, so no sampling for me.
I’m quite excited! Here I am in my uniform ready for my first day. Sorry for the bad picture. The Nerd took it with my iPhone while he was still half asleep in bed.

Thank you very much Rachel. If only I could make the roux gluten free. But, that’s not economical for them. My teacher has been very open to learning about gluten free diets, and I gave him a copy of Living Without.
