Have you ever seen a recipe written as a comic strip? Well, I have and followed the recipe to make up some Bi Bim Bap.
This is a very interesting dish with both cooked and raw components. It’s somewhat like a salad as it contains lettuce and carrots in their raw form. But, there’s also an egg cooked over easy, ground beef, and cooked zucchini. I was skeptical for a while, but when I saw it come together, smelled the various aromas, and had a bite I knew that this dish was right. Whoever created it knew what they were doing. While it was somewhat overwhelmingly rich with the sesame oil and egg, the flavors together did work. I just put too much sesame oil.
Don’t be afraid of the Bi Bim Bap. Heat up your skillet and get cooking.
P.S. I have a very similar rice cooker to the one in the comic. I think they’re both Zojirushi, but I could be wrong.
