A Simple Pizza

Simplicity is delicious.

There are so many recipes that require a devastating amount of ingredients, and while they taste good, they just aren’t as good as the simple things in life.

Why is that?

I think it’s because with simple foods, the flavors are recognizable, and if the few ingredients are actually good, then they’re worth putting up on their own pedestal.

A pizza is a good pedestal.

Locally grown Roma tomatoes, goat cheese, and tomato sauce.

I always use the pizza crust recipe from The Gluten Free Vegan, which uses Bob’s Red Mill’s Gluten Free All Purpose Flour.

I like how easy the sauce is too. It’s also from the same cook book. It’s just tomato paste, water, and herbs.

Heat the oven to 425F, add the sauce to the unbaked pizza crust, top with crumbled goat cheese, and sliced tomato. Bake for 15 minutes. For 2 minutes at the end, turn on the broiler and brown the cheese without burning the crust.

Enjoy the simplicity of nature.
